Even our guides remarked on the unusual number of whales we were able to see up close.
We saw several pods of juvenile humpback whales which stop here on their way to Antarctica for the summer.
We had an outstanding trip on a tour guided by the Pacific Whale Foundation, a research organization.
Whale watching at Hervey Bay… jaw dropping. Got “mugged” as it’s called when a pod of whales approach the boat to investigate. This was our first tour after spending a few days with cousin Meg and Nicky at Maleny house and Maaroon cottage.
